The Solent And District Land Rover Club

Don't get caught out as Hampshire has recently had its first successful prosecution for the illegal use of a Restricted Byway by a motor vehicle, it appears that the person in question was at the rear of a 5 car convoy and there number was taken by a member of the public and passed to the police. As a result the driver in question received an £80 fine with an additional £50 in costs, this just re-enforces the need to consult up to date maps and your local council and or club reps to confirm the status of lanes before they are driven.

Apparently H.C.C. will be erecting notices that show which lanes are legally driveable but this may take some time so please be aware. If you want any more information then please look at the H.C.C. web site for press release ref PR7363.
